If you have kids who love airplanes, the College Park Aviation Museum is a great place to take them. It is also close to the Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. The Clara Barton house is also nearby, but unfortunately, it is closed. She is the woman who founded the American Red Cross and saved many Civil War soldiers. You can also take a train ride at the nearby Walkersville Train Southern Railroad, which offers scenic trail rides through the Monocacy Valley.
